Report Delivery
How reports are generated, scheduled, and sent to your clients.
How report generation works
- Data pull: ClientSignal connects to each client's configured ad platforms and pulls performance data for the reporting period.
- AI analysis: The analysis separates observed facts from evidence-grounded interpretation and marks uncertainty when the available metrics cannot establish a cause.
- Report writing: The AI writes a plain-English narrative covering what happened, what the available evidence supports, and what to review or test next.
- Delivery: Free and Starter use ClientSignal's shared delivery domain with your agency name and Reply-To where configured. Growth and Agency can use a verified agency-domain sender; otherwise delivery uses the shared fallback.
Scheduling options
- Weekly: Reports generated and sent every week on your chosen day.
- Biweekly: Reports every two weeks.
- Monthly: Reports once per month.
You can set different frequencies per client. A high-value client might get weekly reports while a smaller account gets monthly.
Delivery format
Reports are delivered as formatted HTML emails — not attachments. The report content appears directly in the email body, so clients can read it without opening a file or clicking a link.
The email includes a metrics snapshot at the top followed by the narrative report. Agency reports can also include campaign-specific recommendations. See What Clients Receive for the full breakdown.
Engagement tracking
ClientSignal records provider delivery events and an email-open signal where available. Opens can be blocked or preloaded, so they are not proof of reading. Feedback links provide a separate explicit signal.
A provider accepting a send request is not the same as confirmed delivery. Report activity distinguishes pending or accepted sends from delivered and failed outcomes when provider events are available.
