How reports are generated, scheduled, and sent to your clients.

How report generation works

  1. Data pull: ClientSignal connects to each client's configured ad platforms and pulls performance data for the reporting period.
  2. AI analysis: The AI analyzes the data — identifying trends, comparing to previous periods, and noting significant changes.
  3. Report writing: The AI writes a plain-English narrative summary covering what happened, why it matters, and what to do next.
  4. Delivery: The report is sent by email from your configured email address, with your agency branding.

Scheduling options

  • Weekly: Reports generated and sent every week on your chosen day.
  • Biweekly: Reports every two weeks.
  • Monthly: Reports once per month.

You can set different frequencies per client. A high-value client might get weekly reports while a smaller account gets monthly.

Delivery format

Reports are delivered as formatted HTML emails — not attachments. The report content appears directly in the email body, so clients can read it without opening a file or clicking a link.

The email includes a metrics snapshot at the top followed by the narrative report. On Growth+ plans, reports include AI recommendations. See What Clients Receive for the full breakdown.

Engagement tracking

ClientSignal tracks whether clients open and read reports. This data feeds into the engagement dashboard and client health scoring, helping you identify clients who may be disengaging.
